Stitched seabirds interior wall art.

Being an explorer of embroidery I use a variety of stitches, techniques and painting to bring my stitched birds alive.  Some of the sculptural birds are layers of cottons and felt cutwork applique over canvas then using freestyle whip stitch to manipulate and distort the warp and weft to create an organically sculptural surface.  The birds are then  sewn onto painted painted driftwood or wood with gold leaf applied.
